Uniqlo Japan same-store sales decline 0.3 percent in March

March 2016 same-store sales at Uniqlo Japan decreased by 0.3 percent year on year, while sales at its own stores increased by 0.6 percent. Total sales including online sales increased by 2.5 percent.
The company has said that warm weather early in March helped ensure a favourable launch of spring ranges such as bottoms, knitwear and staple cut and sew items. On March 18, 2016, the company opened its newly refurbished Oxford Street global flagship store in London. In the month of March, Uniqlo opened two stores and closed three in Japan.
