Belstaff is a name that has become synonymous with two things: luxury and waterproof jackets. While the brand became iconic for having some of the most luxurious waterproof jackets on the market, the label has branched out into becoming one of the most desirable names in outerwear as well. They had every intention of keeping up their reputation with their Hollywood Rebel’s Collection.

The Collection, which couldn’t have had more perfect timing with the peak of awards season going, features Belstaff designs that have been worn in Hollywood films. In conjunction with the collection, Belstaff will also be producing a limited edition newspaper that celebrates the movie world’s so-called rebel icons. The collection hit stores on Tuesday, February 10th, 2015, and was quite a sight to behold.

Some of the pieces in the collection include a Belstaff park inspired by Angelina Jolie’s parka in “The Tourist,” the Panther leather jacket Brad Pitt wore In “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” and the Phoenix Blouson, inspired by Kristin Stewart’s jacket in the last installment of the “Twilight” series, “Breaking Dawn.”

While this collection will be coveted by many, it does come with some Hollywood sized price tags, with items like the new Racemaster jacket going for upwards of 1995 dollars. Not too bad a price to pay for looking like a member of the Hollywood elite, though. It wasn’t enough for Belstaff to stop at curating a fabulous collection of jackets, however.

The brand is also displaying archive they created for films in its six global stores, including their Madison Avenue store where several of the pieces, including the Racemaster Blouson. Some of the archive designs that will be featured include the leather jacket that Robert Downey Jr. wore in “Iron Man,” and the aviator blouson that Leonardo DiCaprio wore in “The Aviator.”

As for the print newspaper celebrating Hollywood’s rebels, Belstaff has printed 1000 copies, and the paper will include contributions from London Times film critic, Kevin Maher. Those wanting to get their hands on the paper can also do so by visiting Belstaff’s website, where they will also have a chance to win a Belstaff leatherjacket inspired by James Dean. While February is shaping up to be a slow month for retailers, Belstaff might have just found their ace in the whole with this collection, with Hollywood being nothing but the talk of the town right now. With February coming to a close in a few weeks, it will soon be time to hang up that puffer and bring out that leather jacket, and what better way to start bringing in spring style than with a leather jacket fit for an Oscar nominee?
