L Brands October net sale up 3 percent

L Brands net sales of 756.7 million dollars for the four weeks ended October 29, 2016, increased 3 percent, compared to net sales of 735.6 million dollars for the same period, last year. Comparable sales increased 1 percent.

The company reported net sales of 2.581 billion dollars for the 13 weeks, an increase of 4 percent compared to net sales of 2.482 billion dollars, for the 13 weeks in 2015. Comparable sales increased 2 percent.

For the 39 weeks, net sales of 8.085 billion dollars were up 4 percent compared to 7.759 billion dollars for the same period ended October 31, 2015, while comparable sales increased 3 percent.

The company now expects third quarter earnings per share of about 0.40 dollar, versus its previous guidance of 0.40 dollar to 0.45 dollar and last year’s result of 0.55 dollar.
