With our global team of trend-spotters, the Trendstop experts report on all the latest developments emerging at the world's major festivals, analysing which essential trends are likely to develop and affect both fast fashion and high summer festival collections. This week, hot from the arena at Worthy Farm, Glastonbury, FashionUnited readers are presented with four striking and fashion-forward festival street style trends for both menswear and womenswear.

Glastonbury 2015

Garments shimmer and shine in the summer sun, as festival-goers update their wardrobe with a range of sparkling styles. A key trend for casual jackets, we see bikers decorated with golden sequins, as other styles contrast embellished sleeves with a plain black body. Meanwhile, sequinned mini dresses make a statement with colourful tribal patterns, complemented by matching makeup.

Glastonbury men looked to travel for inspiration, creating a look of the Festival Globe-Trotter. Africana print shirts are teamed with colour pop shorts, while smart staples like button-down shirts and boat shoes stand out next to patterned totes and baggy ethnic pants. Tropical snapbacks look new when styled with paisley scarf underlays, which also help keep the sun off the back of the neck.

A must-have for any festival trend-setter, we see sunglasses revamped with big, bold designs. Oversized proportions are key, as round black-out lenses incorporate contrast frames or heart-shapes styles are executed in flip-up constructions. Mirrored effects were also a popular look at Glastonbury this season, complete with colourful tints.

Combining fashion with function, these hands-free belt bag accessories create standout additions for the festival wardrobe. Multicoloured canvas styles inspire a look of retro sport with blocking and contrast detailing, while black leather shapes look edgy with 3D metal studs. Photoreal graphics lend a quirky feel with body part imagery.
