Stella McCartney on Thursday debuted her first menswear collection, which will launch for spring summer 2017. McCartney chose London's Abby Road studios for the event, an apt choice of venue as it is where the Beatles and her father Paul McCartney recorded their infamous albums.

“We feel like we’re launching a brand-within-a-brand with men’s,” McCartney, told WWD, who simultaneously showed her women's SS17 collection. McCartney announced back in June she would launch her men's line in November.

The collection will be available from approximately 30 percent of her 42 self-operated stores, in addition to 200 boutiques via wholesale. Key international retailers such as Selfridges in London, Saks Fith Avenue in New York and I.T. in Hong Kong will all carry the brand next season.

According to WWD, much of McCartney's men's collection is made with sustainable raw materials, including organic cotton and denim, recycled nylon and polyester, and Ultrasuede. McCartney stated: “Our point of difference has always been that we’re sustainably minded,” she said. “And that is something we’re delivering with men’s from the outset.”

The collection is available for pre-order from November 11 at www.stellamccartney.com.
