Kenzo unveils second edition of Folio

Kenzo has debuted the second edition of its folio a showcase of the French luxury brand's new collections - created with the aid of veteran and emerging multimedia artists.

“Le Renard Bleu” is based on the fable “The Blue Fox” and displays the fashion house’s new line La Collection Memento N°2 using music dance and print.

Directed by Lola Partel Oliva and street dance artist Qwenga, the 20-minute film features composer Midori Takada and experimental pop singer Lafawndah.

The Kenzo folio illustrates various cultural identities and traditions. The initial installment, which premiere in April, Gidi Gidi Bu Ugwu Ze, Unity is Strength features a collaboration from photographer Ruth Ossai and director Akinola Davies Jr.

La Collection Memento N°2 offers eastern fashion fused with western, American material and pays homage to Asian American traditions. The line features Hawaiian prints with an element of Japanese influence and accessories like nylon patent knot bags. Other notable pieces include the belted denim kimono top and bamboo leaf trousers.
