San Francisco-based retailer Levi’s just recently hired someone new to start off the new year. The denim company added Carrie Ask as the brand’s new executive vice president and president of global retail.

Ask’s new duties for Levi’s will including overseeing all Levi’s retail operations including 2,700 stores. Through this new executive role, Ask will be in charge of operating stores, franchise stores, and outlet stores. Ask was hired due to her extensive experience in this area in the retail industry. “Carrie has demonstrated a successful track record of driving retail strategy and execution at leading brands,” Chip Bergh, said president and chief executive officer at Levi Strauss & Co.

In her former work experience, Ask has worked for Nike and Converse. At Nike she served as general manager and vice president for Nike Stores North America. Her work at Converse also furthered her experience as she acted as vice president and general manager with global oversight for the brand’s stores. In her new role at Levi’s, the brand hopes that she will deliver strong, tangible results.
