Canadian department store chain Hudson’s Bay is expanding its partnership with stylist Jessica Mulroney by naming her its fashion and bridal specialist with the aim of driving its fashion and bridal businesses.
Mulroney is widely regarded as one of Canada's most notable stylists and fashion influencers and her new role will see her consulting for Hudson’s Bay, as well as undertaking duties including PR, social media, and events.
In addition, Mulroney will also act as the spokesperson for the Core Life brand, which is launching exclusively at Hudson's Bay for autumn 2018, which will feature apparel, footwear and accessories for women and men.
The fashion stylist first worked with the Hudson’s Bay team in 2014 to help launch the Kleinfeld brand in Canada and in this new relationship the Canadian department store will be using her bridal expertise as well as fashion knowledge to drive sales.
Hudson’s Bay president Alison Coville said in a press release: "As we continue to drive our fashion position in Canada, Jessica is a valued and important partner of Hudson's Bay.
"Working with Jessica in this new capacity gives us the opportunity to share her expert knowledge and style with our customers and ultimately provide a unique shopping experience with a compelling point of view.”
Mulroney added: "Hudson's Bay is Canada's fashion authority and I am so excited to expand my relationship with the company. I am extremely proud of the work I've done to help build the Kleinfeld Hudson's Bay business and this is an incredible opportunity to speak to an even broader audience and do the same within the fashion space."
Mulroney’s influence has been on the rise of late thanks to her best friend being the new Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, and she is widely believed to have assisted the royal bride with her choice of wedding dresses from the timeless Givenchy she wore for her nuptials to her glamorous Stella McCartney for the evening reception.
Her children were even part of the Royal wedding party, with her daughter Ivy a flower girl, while her twin sons Brian and John carried the bride’s veil down the aisle.
