Ripe Maternity launches at Mothercare UK

Ripe Maternity, Australia’s leading maternity and nursing brand, is launching with UK mother and baby retailer Mothercare. The Australian brand is set to introduce its Spring/Summer 2016 to Mothercare stores across the country as well as it online store on Thursday, February 11, marking the brand's official UK debut.

“2016 marks the 20 year anniversary of our amazing and much loved brand and we’re super excited to be launching in the UK with such an Iconic British brand at such a special times,” said creative director and co-founder Lisa Balakas. Ripe Maternity, which currently counts seven stand alone stores in Australia in addition to over 200 international stockists, attributes much of its success to its extensive collection of trendy nursing styles.

“It’s a market that tends to be forgotten and women still want to feel and look great whilst breastfeeding,” adds Balakas. Founded in 1996 by duo Lisa Balakas and Kate Beaconfield, the brand aims to provide pregnant women with apparel that suits their lifestyle.
