Uniqlo to launch Sesame Street collection in partnership with Kaws

Uniqlo is launching a new capsule collection featuring Sesame Street characters. The illustrations were made by American artist and designer Kaws, who shares his own take on the internationally beloved children’s television show. The collection is set to launch on June 29 at all Uniqlo’s stores worldwide, and the brand’s website.

The T-shirts will be available in 23 colors, with unisex models for children and adults ranging from XS through XL. Kids models will retail for 9.90 euro (approximately 12 US dollars) while adults’ styles will be sold at 14.90 euro (18 dollars).

Best known for his large-scale sculptures, Kaws’ body of work includes street art, paintings, graphic and product design. His pieces can be found in some of the world’s most prestigious museums and galleries, including the Brooklyn museum, England’s Yorkshire Sculpture Park, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, and the Yuz Museum in Shanghai.

This is the third time Kaws launches a collaborative collection with Uniqlo. The first one was released in the spring/summer of 2016. Last year, they partnered up once more for a collection featuring the Peanuts’ characters.
