Los Angeles - Australian bridal label Grace Loves Lace is coming to the U.S. with its first store. The space, which will open in Venice this Tuesday, will be located off of Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
The boutique will encompass 1,350 square feet and will open its doors July 5. The location was chosen after many other major cities were considered. According to WWD, the company was considering downtown Los Angeles, New York, and Santa Monica locations. However, Venice was selected instead to show off Grace Loves Lace’s French lace gowns. The interior decor is also decorated in fitting with the label’s bridal gowns. “We didn’t want it to be a run-of-the-mill boutique,” founder and creative director Megan Ziems told WWD.
As Grace Loves Lace is an Australian label, Venice seems to be the right choice for its sophisticated, bohemian dresses. Founded in 2010, Ziem designs and manufactures all of its gowns in Australia where it is also headquartered. The dresses are made from fine French lace and silk and reflect a unique, retro style with elegance. Grace Loves Lace offers a wide wedding gown selection including limited edition pieces as well. Prices vary based on the cut, style, and type of gown; however the average price point is near 1,700 dollars.
